Timber construction cluster

The Enterprise Estonia funded Timber Construction Cluster Project is a three year project initiated in May 2009. Its aim is to increase the competitiveness of wood in the building market both at home and abroad.
The cluster project in its aim to increase the competitiveness of Estonian timber in the global marketplace organizes: conferences, study tours and workshops on timber construction and architecture. To read about these activities in more detail, click here, or see projects.
The support of Enterprise Estonia hinges on the understanding that new technologies and market trends reach the key organizations and academic structures and not only those in the forestry sector. Thus the creation of partner network that reaches beyond the forestry sector is a key to achieving greater scope and viability. For this reason, partners in the timber construction cluster include building technology and education establishments, building design consultancies, equipment and technology suppliers, timber building manufacturers and sales companies.
This website has been created to help further these goals and will soon be operational multilingualy, including information in German, French, Japanese and Chinese languages.
