Eesti Energia is an energy company that offers complex energy solutions from heat, electricity and thermal energy and fuels to sales, customer service and energy-related additional services. Eesti Energia Narva Power Plants are committed to replacing use of oil shale with biomass in the form of low-quality wood waste burned in the Balti power plant’s co-generation unit, which produces not only electricity but heat for the city of Narva. As the first energy producer to join the Estonian Forest and Wood Industries Association, Eesti Energia’s goal is balanced use of resources in Estonia’s energy and industrial sector, which will in turn help increasing the contribution of the forest and timber sector to the Estonian economy.
